Grooming skills, Growing Confidence

One of our participants in Darwin recently had an exciting chance to put the skills and knowledge gained at Happy Paws Happy Hearts (HPHH) into practice, assisting with the grooming of a beautiful Cavoodle at Perfect Paws Dog Spa. 

Full of enthusiasm and eager to learn, they helped brush, clip, wash, and blow-dry, impressing the groomer with their “can-do” attitude. 

It’s a wonderful achievement for participants to put into practice the animal care, training, and handling skills they develop in HPHH sessions, with many participants often working toward goals in the animal care industry.  

We are so proud of this participant for having the courage to apply their skills, gain essential vocational experience, and simply try something new. 

The experience filled them with pride and excitement, and they couldn’t wait to share the day with their family. Thanks to the generous guidance of the team at Perfect Paws, this was a special moment of learning, confidence, and connection; and a reminder of how small opportunities can create meaningful opportunities for the future.
