A little help to shine from a friend

Once quiet and reserved, Luke has slowly come out of his shell—sharing his love of dragons, proudly showing off his artwork, and joining group conversations with a big smile. 

Recently, when asked if he’d like to share one of his drawings with the wider HPHH community, Luke was quietly confident but still a little nervous. Eve, a fellow participant, had been helping him choose colours for his latest piece and, sensing his hesitation, offered to jump into the photo with him—just so he wouldn’t feel alone. 

It was a small gesture, but a powerful one. A moment of quiet friendship that gave Luke the confidence to step forward and be proud of what he’d created. 

Sometimes, it’s the quiet encouragement from those around us that helps us shine the brightest.
