Notes, Fairy Gardens, and Friendship that Lasts
Harley (Left) and Cheryl (Right)
Cheryl and Harley first met back in 2020 in Happy Paws Happy Hearts’ (HPHH) Care group in Hunter Valley. Slowly they built a beautiful friendship however as time went on, Harley progressed through HPHH’s Intro to Handle, Handle, and Explore Programs, while Cheryl remained in Care—but their connection never faded.
They began writing little notes for each other, left behind to be discovered in the next session—a quiet, thoughtful way to keep their friendship blossoming. To this day, they still ask about each other every week.
One of the most touching moments between them was when Cheryl made Harley a handmade fairy garden, a gesture that spoke volumes about the care and kindness they share.
A beautiful reminder that connection doesn’t always require a constant presence — just small moments that say, “I’m thinking of you.”
