A Walk, a Chat, and a Step Toward Connection

After finishing school, Seth struggled with a sense of isolation. A social person by nature, he found the days quiet. Since joining HPHH, Seth has gone from feeling isolated to finding genuine connection. Program Trainer Margaret recalls a quiet but powerful moment:
“One day, Seth walked to the bus stop with another participant, both chatting away. It was the first time after many weeks of walking in silence, apart. A small moment, but such a big step.”
Seth later reflected on another moment when he helped a younger participant feel more confident by stepping out of their comfort zone in session and felt proud to have made a positive difference that day.
It’s a gentle reminder that connection doesn’t always come with grand gestures—sometimes, it’s a shared walk, a thoughtful gesture, and the quiet courage to show up for someone else.
