Full Circle Moment for Feeding 🐾

Our Thursday Handle team in Toowoomba recently had the exciting opportunity to take on a new shelter task at RSPCA Toowoomba—conducting the afternoon feeds.

This hands-on responsibility takes enrichment to the next level. Participants not only create enrichment boxes using recycled materials, but now also hand-deliver them to the animals—seeing wagging tails and happy faces as the animals enjoy both their meal and the mental stimulation enrichment provides to their days in care.

Senior Program Trainer, Emily, commented on how proud she was to see the team’s communication, teamwork and confidence grow through this experience. It’s a full-circle moment—participants get to see the direct impact of their work while building independence, vocational skills, and joy in knowing they’ve made a difference.

A big thank you to RSPCA Toowoomba for providing such meaningful opportunities for our participants to grow.
