Friendship Flourishes at Toowoomba

Often, participants come to Happy Paws Happy Hearts (HPHH) for the animals—but admit that after time, they stay for the people and friendships they’ve made. A wonderful example of this is Kimmy and Tania from our Wednesday morning Care session in Toowoomba.

Both have been attending HPHH for years, almost since the very beginning when HPHH partnered with RSPCA Wellcamp campus in Toowoomba back in 2022. What started as two participants in a new environment has blossomed into a beautiful friendship.

Week by week, through lots of laughter, shared experiences with the shelter animals, particularly with their love for dogs, they’ve built a connection that brings joy and positivity to every session which permeates through the rest of the group.

Senior Program Trainer, Emily, notes, “Kimmy and Tania always bring such energy, smiles, and positivity. It’s a joy to see their friendship flourish through the program.”

Their bond is a reminder that meaningful connections often grow quietly over time—and sometimes the relationships we build alongside our furry friends can become some of the most rewarding.
